Milk Man finds Frederick Dudley 80yrs dead in his bed.

Yesterday morning as George Smith was on his rounds delivering milk, he opened the door of the room occupied by Mr. Frederick Dudley, first house west of the Episcopal Church, and found Mr. Dudley lying on his bed with some appearance of having been dead some hours. The coroner, Dr. Prather, was notified and he impaneled a jury, who heard the evidence of Mr. Smith and Dr. Sharples, examining surgeon, and bought in a verdict substantially as follows:
We, the jury impaneled to inquire into the cause of the death of body before us, after having heard the evidence of Geo. Smith and the examining physician, find that death resulted from natural causes. We further find that it the body of Frederick Dudley, about 80 years of age. Signed Aaron Lynch, R.B. Cochran, W.T. Peet, Wm. Fisher, J.P. Ramsey, Chas. Boren.
The body was taken in charge by the Odd Fellows, of which order he was an honored member. The funeral services will be conducted at the Episcopal Church at 2 o’clock p.m. today. Interment in Odd Fellows cemetery.
Mr. Dudley was an old and highly esteemed citizen, having resided in this vicinity for many years. His wife died some years since, and his remains will be beside hers. He had many friends, by no relatives in this part of the country.”

Pioneer Cemetery (IOOF) records show his wife  Nancy Dudley,  born in Ohio (unknown date) and died on 8/4/1878.  Frederick, born in Connecticut (unknown date) and died on 9/21/1886.
