The Eugene Morning Register was published in Eugene, OR for many years before it merged with the Eugene Daily Guard in 1930 – becoming the Eugene Register – Guard that is still published today.
I previously published an index of deaths recorded in Eugene, OR newspapers up until the beginning of the Oregon Death Index – an index of death certificates filed with the State of Oregon. As I did research I found that in the early years many deaths were not recorded with a death certificate. I hope that this index will help bridge that gap. Let me know if you find this a benefit to your family history research. Sent me a comment or click the “like” star at the bottom of each post.
These names are either from a death notice, an obituary or related article. This blog’s search feature will search all names that I have ever posted here.
